Pride is a sense of one's own worth, and abhorrence of what is beneath or unworthy of one; lofty self-respect; noble self-esteem; elevation of character; dignified bearing; proud delight; -- in a good sense. (Source: Wikitionary; Definition for the word, 'Pride.')

On this note, let's start with your read for the day. Thank you for the love that you guys showered on My Very First Blog!

Hey Everyone! If I asked you you to define yourself, how do you go about it? Do you describe your virtues, vices, strengths, weakness, talents, potential, calibre, ideologies or to an extent, your appearance; but do you be affirmative about your gender? I guess, no. Nobody ever tells about his or her own self, with a mention about their gender/race/caste/colour/creed etc.

If a person is about all these words which are basically Abstract Nouns, then why do we have to judge people for the Pronoun which they like being addressed with, why does it freaking matter to people, if someone belongs to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Community?

The fact that we have a separate Month to give credence to the existence of these individuals, is reason enough for you to ponder that why can't these concepts and ideas be normalized. Why can't they be considered as independent and just-another-citizen/neighbour/colleage/student/professional/artist etc. etc. belonging to your vicinity?

Life is not about rainbows and sunshines, but for you, my people, I wish, your life could be the same colours, assigned to your community. Though we have rainbows to commemorate and validate their existence and individuality, but they have to lead a black and white life, because of the society's hypocrisy, double standards, discrimination and its homophobic people.

It's never too late to accept change and to do the right thing. If you still have qualms to deal with the community, kill your intolerance and misconception, and accept the rainbows and the sunshine, with love, warmth and most importantly, RESPECT.

Respect them and their individuality, and the fact that they had enough of you/us mistreating them, is reason enough.

God created you, and the same Universal Power created them, so why do we have an upper-hand? Just because we have chosen the 'right, valid, apt, just, normal, okay, tolerable...' way as per the society's conventions.

It's 2020, and Corona seems to be here to stay, but how do we find a vaccine for someone's rotten thought process and cure it, once and for all?
